NEW AT YARN DIVA – CLASSES
Registration Policy for classes – – Fees may be paid in cash, credit card, or with a check made payable to Yarn Diva and More. Your payment will reserve your place in the class of your choice.
Supplies – All yarns/supplies needed for any class attended can be purchased in advance at Yarn Diva at a 15% discount. You will also receive a Yarn Diva Canvas Tote and a mini whatever bag. Please purchase all supplies before the first class so that valuable class time is not spent selecting materials.
Cancellation Policy – If you are unable to attend a class for which you have registered, you must notify the shop at least 48 hours before the class is scheduled in order to receive a refund or transfer you fee to another class
In case of inclement weather, we will notify you of schedule changes or cancellations, so we must have the best daytime phone number for you. Make up classes will be offered for all canceled classes at the earliest possible convenient time.

**Knit FIX Workshop – 1 ½ hour @ $18.00**
This workshop gives you the opportunity to come with a work-in-progress or start a new project and get any help needed. Knitters can face many snags, from decoding instructions to figuring out where they went wrong in a project. Dropped a stitch? Purl when you should have knitted? Learn to pick up dropped stitches, untwist your stitches without a lot of effort, prevent too many/too few stitches and how to correct and prevent many other common knitting mistakes.– Come once, come as often, come as needed

**BEGINNER KNITTING and /or CROCHET** with Maria

4 – 2 hour lessons @ $120.00 (total of 8 hours) – scheduled by appointment (call shop) –This class includes the basics of knitting (casting on, how to knit, how to purl, binding off, increase and decrease) all the basic how-to for making scarves, shawl, baby blankets and many other projects. The classes are scheduled as needed on Saturdays, sometimes on Wednesdays, Monday mornings.
MATERIALS: one ball of worsted weight yarn and #8 needles for knitting or a G hook if interested in the Crochet class.

Mayra has done it again – there are two new scarf classes available:
The first scarf is: The DOUBLE SIDED CABLE SCARF
A reversible scarf or cowl featuring cables. Suitable for everyone. It’s about 6 inches wide and as long as you want it to be. So easy a beginner can make it! Learn this reversible technique -and you’ll find a whole world of possible applications .
MATERIALS: Worsted and/or aran weight approx 200 yds. (one skein for a cowl and 2 skeins for a scarf), size 9 (or 10) if you tend to knit tightly and a cable needle. February 1st (Thursday) 10:30 to Noon. @$35.00
The second scarf is: The Faux-Lac Scarf
Another reversible scarf – this one has the wavy look of entrelac without all the fuss – how nice is that. Beautiful in a yarn with long repeats – the sample in the shop is made with Sirdar Color Wheel (one ball)
MATERIALS: DK weight yarn (approx 500 yards), size 8 needles February 15th (Thursday) 10:30-Noon $35.00
* SOCK CLASS with Maria @ $75.00
This class has three sessions to make a pair of socks.
1st session Feb 10th – 12 Noon to 2 PM – knit a gauge, pick desired size, cast on, start the ribbing and leg
2nd session Feb 24th – 12 Noon to 1:30 PM – work on the heel flap, turning the heel and picking up the gusset stitches
3rd session March 10th – 12 Noon to 1:30 PM – making the toe and kitchener stitch to close the toe
Must know how to knit, purl, long tail cast on, how to use double pointed needles or do the magic loop
Homework: Please take a measurement around the ball of your foot (usually the widest part just below the toes)
Materials: Fingering weight yarn (about 400 yards), #1 double pointed needles, #1 40” circular needle to do the magic loop
