Registration Policy for classes – – Fees may be paid in cash, credit card, or with a check made payable to Yarn Diva and More. Your payment will reserve your place in the class of your choice.
Supplies – All yarns/supplies needed for any class attended can be purchased in advance at Yarn Diva at a 15% discount. You will also receive a Yarn Diva Canvas Tote and a mini whatever bag. Please purchase all supplies before the first class so that valuable class time is not spent selecting materials.
Cancellation Policy – If you are unable to attend a class for which you have registered, you must notify the shop at least 48 hours before the class is scheduled in order to receive a refund or transfer you fee to another class
In case of inclement weather, we will notify you of schedule changes or cancellations, so we must have the best daytime phone number for you. Make up classes will be offered for all canceled classes at the earliest possible convenient time.

Knit FIX Workshop – 1 ½ hour @ $18.00
This workshop gives you the opportunity to come with a work-in-progress or start a new project and get any help needed. Knitters can face many snags, from decoding instructions to figuring out where they went wrong in a project. Dropped a stitch? Purl when you should have knitted? Learn to pick up dropped stitches, untwist your stitches without a lot of effort, prevent too many/too few stitches and how to correct and prevent many other common knitting mistakes.– Come once, come as often, come as needed

BEGINNER KNITTING and /or CROCHET with Maria

This class includes the basics of knitting (casting on, how to knit, how to purl, binding off, increase and decrease) all the basic how-tos for making scarves, shawl, baby blankets and many other projects.
The class is scheduled as needed on Saturdays and sometimes on Wednesdays
MATERIALS: one ball of worsted weight yarn and #8 needles for knitting or a G hook if interested in the Crochet class.
Do the ” BRIOCHE” With Anna – 2 hour class @ $45.00 per person

DESCRIPTION: Learn how to work this intriguing “ribbed” stitch while making a luscious, two color cowl. Once you make one cowl you’ll fall in love and want to make more – for yourself or gifts, or because they’re fun to make! (Prerequisites: knit, purl, k2tog, experience with long tail cast on, yarn overs Give Diva a call and sign up.
Materials: US 10 ½ . 24 “ circular needle, two hanks of yarn about 120 yards each (can be two solids or one multi and one solid – in chunky weight
Sock Class – with Maria – One class, three sessions @ $75.00
Class Dates: 1st session March 25th – 10:30 AM to 12 Noon
2nd session April 15th – 10:30 AM to 12 Noon
3rd session April 29th – 10:30 AM to 12 Noon
Class prerequisites: Must know how to knit, purl, long tail cast on, how to use double pointed needles or do the magic loop
Materials: Fingering weight yarn (about 400 yards),US #1 double pointed needles of #1 40” circular to do the magic loop.
Class consists of 3 sessions: 1st session we will knit a gauge, pick our sizes, cast on and start the ribbing and leg
2nd session we will work on the heel flap, turning the heel and picking up the gusset stitches
3rd session we will be on making the toe and kitchener stitch to close the toe
Homework: Please take a measurement around the ball of your foot (usually the widest part just below the toes)
For the LOVE OF LACE with MAYRA: SnowFlake PI Shawl
Mayra has done it once more – come see the sample to Snowflake PI Shawl in the shop – her magic with design will take your breath away – it always takes my breath away! This class has two one-hour sessions @ $45.00
Class Dates: 1st session on March 16th – 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM
2nd session on April 13th – 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM
DESCRIPTION: 1st session we’ll start with the body of the shawl, discussion on the construction of PI shawls.
2nd session we’ll get the border going and will discuss blocking. (For anyone interested in designing his/her own PI shawl there will be blanks provided.
MATERIAL: The sample in the shop was made with 1 ball of Apple Tree Knits, Glisten fingering yarn 560 yds and 1 skein of coordinating fingering weight yarn – 440 yds. US # 6 knitting needles – DPNs or a long cable circular for magic loop. The charts are simple to follow, but if you need a refresher or to learn how to read a chart, let Ann Marie know.
